I have been reading the Larklight series - they're entertaining & original if a bit young. Then I got my hands on this last Friday: On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness: Adventure. Peril. Took the kiddo to the library the other day & while she ran ecstatically around the children's section my eyes happened to spot a book that looked interesting on their New Children's Titles display - Starcross.   The cover just drew me & once I picked it up the description on the back was even more intriguing - but I also learned it was a sequel.  ( Read more... )

I stayed up till almost 2am but I finished it. And it was very enjoyable. There were some minor things that I think could stand to be improved - a lot of it having to do with the author's experience level - but overall it was excellent.  I already read the partial draft of Midnight Sun available on Meyer's website & I plan to pick up the next ( Read more... )

Since I can't read Twilight until I get home tonight, but of course my mind is spinning as I'm fairly unspoiled for the plot (aside from the obvious & little things I don't care about), I'm going to vent some of my thoughts here as an outlet until I can read more.
